HUTCHINSON, Kan. Ruth A. Fetterling Blake, 91, died February 10, 2003 at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson, Kan. She was born November 9, 1911, at Kipp, Kan. the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Agnew) Clovis. A resident of Troy, NY for a number of years, she was employed as a seamstress at Marvin Nitzels and Cluett Peabody Co's. She also worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, and retired from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance. She was a resident of Gilboa, NY from 1962 until 1967 when she relocated to Albany, NY. On June 29, 1981, she married Forrest N. Blake at Troy, N.Y. He died December 19, 1993. She was a resident of Hutchinson, Kan. since 1991. Survivors include a son, William F. Fetterling of Gilboa, N.Y.; a daughter, Sally J. Blake of Hutchinson, Kan.; a stepson, Everett Blake of Hutchinson, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Mary Sommerfeld of Marquette, Kan.; three brothers, Lawrence Clovis of Salina, Kan., Raymond Clovis of Meridian, Idaho and James Clovis of Lawrence, Kan.; a sister, Mary Jean Debboli of Troy; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Earl; a stepdaughter, Nancylee; five brothers and a sister. A private family graveside service will be held in Lindsborg, Kan. at a later date. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, Kan. is in charge of arrangements.
