Cipkowski, Stan W. MELROSE Stan W. Cipkowski, 65, died peacefully at his Melrose home on October 31, 2013. He was born in Hudson and raised on Cape Cod, Mass. Stan was the founder and CEO of the Kinderhook-based American Bio Medica Corp., a biotechnology company that develops, manufactures and markets drug-testing kits internationally. Stan was a 1966 graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth High School on Cape Cod, served in the Merchant Marines, and led a love-filled, entrepreneurial life. A human dynamo, Stan delighted in family, books, cooking, entertaining, travel, Sinatra, and maritime paintings. He is survived by six children, Alec, Whitney, Dylan, Sabrina, Lucas, and Kayla and his fiancee, Katherine Mittnight. Five siblings also survive him, Eileen, Ray, Joseph, Marticia and Peter. Friends are invited to join Stan's family in a celebration of his life from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Taconic Wayside Inn, a longtime family establishment, in Copake Falls.
