Robbins, Stanley L. LATHAM Stanley "Stash" L. Robbins, 78, of Latham passed away peacefully at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was the son of the late Sheldon V. Robbins, Sr. and Ruth (Collier) Robbins. Stanley graduated from Watervliet High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany and France. He was honorably discharged in 1958. After returning home, he worked in his family's business, Robbins Refuse Service. As a youth he loved to hunt and trap. He spent summers at Friends Lake with his family. He also enjoyed drawing and painting. He was a kind soul and a true gentleman. Stanley was predeceased by his sister, Delores and his brothers, Sheldon, Jr. and Edward. He is survived by his brothers, Clyde (Patricia), Ronald (Charlene, deceased), and Bruce (Suzanne). He will be greatly missed by his brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
