Rafferty, Virginia ALBANY Virginia Rafferty, 80, of Klink Road in Albany passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Rafferty was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Shaver Carpenter. She resided in Guilder-land for the past 49 years. Mrs. Rafferty enjoyed family, scratching lottery tickets and attending the Town Hall Seniors. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mrs. Rafferty is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, William J. Rafferty of Guilderland and is the loving mother of Suzanne Tice (Leslie) of Nassau, Joanne Sanford (Nathan) of Ravena, Christine Guizard (Paul) of Virginia Beach and Patrick Rafferty (Heather) of Colonie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Ajima, Trisha Tice, Timothy Tice, Jenna Berschwinger, Jonathan Govel, Spencer Guizard and Jessica Rafferty, her great-grandchildren, Lillian and William, and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her friend Virginia for being such a good friend. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
