Dragon, Wayne W. Sr. COLONIE Wayne W. Dragon, Sr., 68, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, October 13, 2012. He was born in Albany and lived in Schen ectady for 28 years before moving to Colonie. Wayne served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. He worked for Sears, South Colonie School District as a bus driver and had a catering business with his wife out of Fuller Road Fire Dept. Wayne served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT at Fuller Road over the past 44 years and held many positions active and social, including president, vice-president and rescue captain. He was a tremendous community influence, being involved in the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTO president and Senior Babe Ruth baseball coach. Wayne is the loving son of Evelyn Dragon and the late Richard Dragon. He is the beloved husband of 43 years to Elaine (Montesano) Dragon. He is the devoted father of Jeffrey (Amiee) Dragon, Scott (Michelle) Dragon, Michelle (Ralph) Barone, Wayne (Karen) Dragon, Jr. and Diane (Matthew) Sypniewski. He is the brother of Marvin Dragon and the late Millard Dragon. Wayne is the cherished grandfather of Reigha, Zachary, Donatella, Kayla, Madison, Wyatt and Noah. Also surviving are many extended family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
