Johnson, Wilbur O. ALBANY Absent from the body but home with the Lord on November 28, 2012. Wilbur O. Johnson was born in Ogden, Utah on September 19, 1919. He was the son of the late Oscar V. and Bessie Johnson. He lived in Albany, most of his life. He served his country in India, for 3 1/2 years during World War II and later was relocated to Donaldson Air Force Base after the war. In Greenville, S.C., he met and married Winifred "Polly" Morrow. He is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie Crowley and Patti (Gerry) Dufault; and three grandchildren, Robert Crowley of Latham, Lindsey and Noah Dufault of Worcester, Mass. Bill loved hunting and fishing with his grandson, Rob at his summer home on Sacandaga Reservoir, N.Y. He was a life member of West Albany Volunteer Fire Company, served as captain of the Relief Squad and was a Boy Scout troop leader as well as a former Boy Scout. He and his family worshiped at Loudonville Community Church. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. For those who wish to remember Bill in a special way, contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at the Loudonville Community Church. Arrangements are in care of Frederick Funeral Home, Albany.
