Skicki, William J. ALBANY William J. Skicki, formerly of First Street, Albany, died peacefully at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass. with his family at his side. William was born at his grand mother's home in Troy, N.Y. on October 25, 1933. He was the son of the late William S. and Marion (Weiand) Skicki. William worked for the State Bank of Albany and the City of Albany. He also served in the U.S. Army and spent time in Italy, Germany and Switzerland. William was honorably discharged after serving three years. William is survived by his sister, Marilyn and her husband William Lloyd, and their children, William (Cam) Jr., Robin Belzile, Lynn McNaughton and Sharon (Michael) Conroy. UB (Uncle Bill) also leaves behind his great- nieces and nephews, Lauryn, Macky, Rolla Lloyd Joe (Margot), Evan Belzile; Ian McNaughton; and Olivia and Aidan Conroy. The family would like to thank the staff at Berkshire Medical Center Critical Care Unit and a special thank you to the staff at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center who took such good care of William. Funeral services, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. from the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, now located at 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Matthew's Church, Voorheesville at 9:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday, December 21, 2012, 3 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment, Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
