Lanci, Antoinette QUEENSBURY Antoinette "Toni" Lanci passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital with her son and daughter-in-law by her side, following a short illness. Born June 18, 1917 in Albany, she was the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Gallo) Pacella. On August 8, 1948 she married Anthony Lanci. Together they raised one son, Anthony J. (Tony) Lanci in the home they built on Martin Terrace in Colonie. Toni was a hairdresser in her younger years and following the birth of her son she spent time working at the Colonie Central School cafeteria where she loved interacting with all the students. As a young woman, to keep in style, she became an accomplished seamstress and made many of her own clothes. She was a great cook, and in typical Italian fashion, she hosted many backyard picnics and pasta dinners with their extended family. She is predeceased by her husband, Tony, as well as a brother, Nunzio Pacella and sisters, Mary (Pacella) Gordon, Anna (Pacella) Link, and Philomena (Pacella) Lanci. Toni is survived by her son, Anthony J. Lanci of Glens Falls and his wife, Kate; her grandchildren, Amanda (Lanci) Polcare, her husband, Brendan Polcare and Thomas Lanci. She is also survived by her sister, Carrie (Pacella) Greco; her brother, Vincent Pacella and many nieces and nephews scattered to the four corners of the country. Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 9 - 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery,Colonie.
