Parietti, Amelia MECHANICVILLE Surrounded by her family, Amelia Parietti, 98, died Tuesday morning, April 1, 2014 at Eddy Heritage Home in Troy. Born in Piermont, July 12, 1915, she and her husband Charles became lifelong residents of 715 Hudson River Road, shortly after World War II. On the banks of their Hudson River, they shared a wonderful life, raising three children, Charles (Judy) Parietti of Maryville, Mo., Carol (the late James) Patenaude of Schaghticoke and Richard (Janice) Parietti of Altamont. Amelia was an active member of the Waterford Historical Junior Museum and also served as a past president of the St. Mary's Altar Society in Waterford. Together with her husband, until his death in 1989, and then on her own, she played an integral part in the lives of her grandchildren, Sarah Snow of Maryville, Mo., Scott Parietti of Los Angeles, Calif., Suzanne (Michael) Papa of Albany, Christy Patenaude of Schaghticoke, Nicole (Robert) Legnard of Clifton Park, Lindsey Parietti of Cairo, Egypt and Justin (Megan) Parietti of Plain City, Ohio. Amelia was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren. We miss you Nana! There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, Waterford on Monday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. After Mass, Amelia and Charles will be interned at Saratoga National Cemetery at Noon. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Mary's of the Assumption Church Altar Society, Waterford, in loving memory of Amelia S. Parietti.
