Cranney, Kyong (Kathy) SCHENECTADY Kyong (Kathy) Cranney, 67, of East Greenbush, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Seoul, Korea where she met the love of her life, the late William J. Cranney, while he was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. This is where their life's journey began. They moved with their young family back to the capital region where they have been lifelong residents. She devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren. Kathy was predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Elise Cranney. Survivors include her adoring and loving children, Teresa (Guy) Sheldon, Shawna (David) Cranney, and Patrick (Denise) Cranney. She was the honored grandmother to Kyle, Taylor, Ava, Nicole, Allison and Lance. Her memory will live on through all of them. Calling hours for Kathy will be held at The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
