Fetterling, Wendy L. GILBOA Wendy L. Fetterling, 62, formerly of Gilboa died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Glendale Nursing Home. Born in Troy she was educated in Waterford schools. She was the daughter of Jean Tilley Kernaghan of Guilderland and the late Walter Kernaghan and is the widow of William Fetterling. She had moved to Gilboa in 1991. Wendy had been employed as a secretary at SUNY Albany for 20 years and then at SUNY Cobleskill from which she retired in 2002. She was a volunteer for the Marathon for a Better Life Program in Schoharie County. Wendy was an animal lover, a crossword puzzle enthusiast and an avid reader. She enjoyed riding on the back of her husband's Harley and taking adventures in their RV. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her daughter, Shelley Collins of Ashburn, Va.; her step daughters, April MacMurray (James) of Rotterdam and Katyanna Keyser (Walter) of Altamont and her sister Karen Phillips (Thomas) of Hurley. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Johnathan and Savannah Chinski, as well as her niece, Tara Brewer (Christopher) of Guilderland. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
