LeBlanc, Carol J. MECHANICVILLE Mrs. Carol J. LeBlanc, 67, of River Road, Hemstreet Park, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after being stricken at home. Born in Troy, June 17, 1946, she was daughter of the late Archie and Olive Martell. A housewife, Carol was widely known for her number of part-time jobs in the area, such as a bartender at Costanzo's, American Legion and Golf Course all of Mechanicville. She had also worked for sometime at Family Dollar, and did some home health aide. Active in her community, Carol was a fire line lieutenant with the Hemstreet Park Fire Dept., and a former president and officer of Legion Post 91 Ladies Auxiliary. A friendly woman with an ever pleasant smile and cheerful attitude, she brightened anyone's day upon meeting Carol. Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family, and she will be sadly missed. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, George E. LeBlanc; her three daughters, Jo Michele (John) Bisnett of Lake George, Jackelyn (Lester) Loomis of Saratoga Springs and Judy (Edward) Jenkins of Mechanicville; and children, George LeBlanc of Virginia, Michael (Karen) LeBlanc of Queensbury, Cindi VanDerwerker of Stillwater and Sarah Lee Bublak of Hudson Falls, along with 17 grand and number of great and great-great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Clarence Martell of Vermont and Archie Martell of Knox; nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her sister Doris Harriman and brother Legrand Martell, Sr. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 5 p.m. at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Hemstreet Park Fire Dept.
