DeLaMater, Charles C. LEBANON, Pa. Charles Cure DeLaMater, 98 years and 9 months old, was promoted into the glory of his Lord and Savior, early Monday morning, June 9, 2014. Born in Arlington, N.J., the son of the late Harry and Emily DeLaMater, he was the husband of Jean DeLaMater who preceded him in April 2000. Charles lived in the Troy area where he was employed by the Watervliet Arsenal for many years. Upon retirement, Charles and Jean relocated to the Lebanon area where they volunteered for the Bible Christian Ministries for many years. They moved to the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home and remained in independent living till December 2013 when Charles entered into personal care. Among Charles' activities, he was found to be active in bowling, pickle ball, bike riding, walking and being with his family. He regularly attended the First Baptist Church of Lebanon. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry Blair; and survived by his daughter, Judith Musser, married to Charles Musser of Lebanon; a son, John DeLaMater and wife Kathy of Guilderland; and a sister, Jane Winegard of Hoosick Falls. There are five granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service shall be held in the DiMatto Chapel of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home at 1200 Grubb Road in Palmyra, PA 17078 on Friday, June 13, 2014, at 10 a.m., with a public viewing beginning at 9 a.m. Interment shall be private at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the LVBH Good Samaritan Fund at the above address. rohlandfh.com
