Swatling, Loretta A. WATERFORD Loretta A. Swatling, 83, of Middletown Road, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Stillwater, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Miazga Genevick. Over the years, Loretta had worked at Knolls Atomic Lab in Niskayuna, as a secretary at Covert Manufacturing in Watervliet and at Manpower in Albany. She had also been employed as a clerk at Studio 6 in Clifton Park for 21 years and then as a sample representative at Price Chopper. She was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Club Leader and a life member of the ladies auxiliary at Clifton Park-Halfmoon VFW Memorial Post 1498. She also was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Cohoes. In her free time Loretta loved polka dancing and traveling. Loretta was the beloved wife of 61 years of Neal J. Swatling and loving mother of Gary P. Swatling of Florida, Mark A. Swatling (Jennifer) of Fallston, Md., and the late Lisa Ann Swatling Cartino. She was the sister of Anne Folmsbee (Philip) of Clifton Park and of the late Catherine Gorcesky, Frank Genevick, Helen Olszowy, Nicholas Genevick, Amelia Dragonette, Felix Gniewek and Jane Gronczniak. She is also survived by six grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, at 11 a.m., at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32,) Waterford. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
