Battibulli, Julius ALBANY Julius Battibulli (Chuck), 88, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 surrounded by his family at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph and Zinilda Bevelacqua Battibulli. Chuck was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Albany, and honorably served his country in the KNavy from 1944 to 1946. Chuck retired as a head teller from Key Bank in 1988 after 44 years. Julius was an active member of the Zaloga Post 1520. He enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and reminiscing about the old Jefferson Street neighborhood. Chuck was survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Enrico and Thomas Battibulli, Yolanda Comproski Stribel, and Virginia Gecewicz Hewitt. Funeral services Monday, June 30, 2014 at 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
