Nero, Palma "Pam" LATHAM Palma "Pam" Nero, died suddenly on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Fortuna (Selveggi) Nero. Pam was a secretary for the New York State Comptroller's Office for many years. She was also a member of the Colonie Elks. Longtime companion for many wonderful years of the late John LaMena; sister of the late Mary Rose Soloyna. Pam is survived by her brother-in-law, George Solonya of Albany; her niece, Donna (Paul) Spagnola of Delmar; her nephew, Anthony Golden of Watervliet; grandniece, Stacey Lynn Spagnola of Albany and several cousins. Calling hours for Pam will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Pam and John LaMena will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., in St. Ambrose Church, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
