Louis T. Malizia Obituary
Malizia, Louis T. LATHAM The Church of St Isaac Joques on the Lake was the setting for a Mass of Resurrection for Louis Malizia, beloved and devoted husband of the late Doris Malizia, and the loving father of Nancy Malizia Acemoglu; best father-in-law of the late Dr. Murat Acemoglu; perfect grandfather to Thomas (Laura) and Nicholas Acemoglu, and Anna and Zoe Acemoglu. He was born and raised in Schenectady, the son of Louis and Teresa Malizia; brother to the late George, and sister Angie Choquette and very much loved nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family and friends and deceased relatives. An Army sergeant in World War II, Office of Select Services and OSS at age 18. Later employed at General Electric, and the owner and operator of one of the first nursing homes in Schenectady, the Oakwood, where the patients were respected and cared for. He had a kind and gentle heart, and helped everyone in an unassuming way. The world has lost an amazing advocate for all, my Dad. In keeping with his wishes, the services were private as we watched the lake sparkle and the puffy clouds above whisper, just how much one person could be loved. We will miss my Dad forever. Cards or donations in the Church's name c/o Mrs. Nancy Acemoglu, PO Box 438, Newtonville, NY 12128.
