Ryan, Mary SARATOGA SPRINGS Mary Theresa Williams Ryan of Trottingham Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital. She is 73. Born on May 13, 1941 in Troy, she is a daughter of the late George C. and Mary C. (O'Brien) Williams Sr. A graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy, she attended the Russell Sage Evening Division. Employed by the Saratoga Springs Public Library for 23 years, she retired 11 years ago as supervisor of the Circulation desk. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, including her six grandchildren and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, George C. Williams Jr., and John R. Williams. Survivors include her husband of 51 1/2 years, Joseph J. Ryan, whom she married on December 15, 1962; four children, Deborah M. (husband, Joseph) Sorrentino of Buffalo and Michael (wife, Holly) Ryan, Kristin A. Ryan and Jill S. (husband, Brian) McCoskey, all of Saratoga Springs; six grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Ryan, Blade and Chase Sorrentino and Megan and Ryan McCoskey; two sisters-in-law, Lois Williams and Kathy Ryan; one brother-in-law, James Ryan and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., on Monday, July 14, in St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Ave., Ballston Spa, by the Rev. Thomas J. Kelly, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue. Memorials may be made in her name to Muscular Dystrophy Research at Albany Medical Center, 47 New Scotland Avenue MC 70, Albany, NY 12208 (please indicate "in honor of Mary Williams Ryan").
