Newton, Henry J. RENSSELAER Henry J. Newton, 86, of Rensselaer died peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born in Albany and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Henry was a supervisor for the New York State Office of General Services for 15 years before retiring Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary (Turton) Newton; brothers, Edwin and Earl Newton; and sister-in-law, Margaret Newton. Henry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angeline (Gregoli) Newton; two daughters, Kathleen M. (Robert J. Kurtzner) Newton and Anne C. (Joseph) Leffler; brothers, Guy and Gary (Lorraine) Newton; and a sister-in-law Deanne Newton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Henry is the beloved grandfather of Holly (Joseph) Hayes, Sierra (Edward) Carron, MacKenzie and Torrey Kurtzner; great- grandfather of Angelina, Priscilla and Edward. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends and family are invited to his calling hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Contributions may be made in Henry's name to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
