Wagar, Dick W. TROY On January 20, 2014, Dick left us to join his parents Ruth and Dean, along with his brothers, Dale, David and Daryl in eternity. Dick will always be remembered by his wife and partner Sharon; sister, Deana; brother, Dean; in addition to many other family members and friends as a wise, practical, compassionate, kind and charitable man who enjoyed collecting coins, reading, playing cards and chess, shooting pool and listening to loud music. He believed strongly in the importance of a "thank you." He was patriotic, passionate, about justice, and loved history, particularly American Indian, because of his heritage. After graduating from Troy High School, Dick served two years in the Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He worked at the steel mill in Watervliet (Allegheny Ludlum, Al Tech, ALTX) for 32 years. A family service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
