Kosinski, Betty A. ALBANY Betty A. Kosinski (Evans), 90, a resident of the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home in Troy, died peacefully on July 23, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Albany on December 9, 1923 to the late James and Harriet Evans, Betty grew up in Albany and, upon retirement from the New York State Retirement System, resided in Florida from 1982 to 1997. She returned home to enjoy many happy years with her family and friends. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Walter M. Kosinski, and brother Edgar Evans. She is survived by her son, Walter C. Kosinski of Round Lake; daughters, Lyn LaFalce (John) of Latham and Judy Crawford of Loudonville. Grandmother of Kenneth (Joanne) Kosinski, Kimberly Kosinski, Joseph LaFalce, Julie LaFalce (Mitchell Dellio), Jason Crawford, Mark Crawford and Greg Crawford. Great-grandmother of Alison, Emily, Max and Sam Kosinski, and loving "GiGi" to London Dellio. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Evans and many loving nieces and nephews. Betty will always be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, and her sense of humor that stayed with her to the end. In her 80's, with her desire to help others, she was crocheting lap blankets for "the old folks" and volunteering with the lunch program at the senior residence where she had resided. The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to the staff at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy, and the staff at Samaritan Hospital (6th fl.) for their kind and loving care.
