Hutchens, Elizabeth L. (Landor) COHOES Elizabeth L. Landor Hutchens died on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Stratton V.A. Medical Center in Albany embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Jacob John and Catherine Pavalcak Landor and beloved wife of the late Vauder C. Hutchens. Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and graduated from Cohoes High School. She was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. Elizabeth was a secretary for the Landor TV and Appliance repair shop in Cohoes. She was a gifted and talented artist, enjoyed baking and traveling, but her true enjoyment was her family. They were the focus of her life and she treasured their abundant love. Elizabeth was a communicant of the former St. Joseph's Church in Cohoes and a communicant of St. Mary the Assumption Church in Waterford. She was an active participant with the Ladies of St Anne with both parishes. She is survived by her devoted son and his wife, Michael and Donna Hutchens Sr. of Cohoes; grandchildren, Neil (Sue) Cooney Jr., Kirk (Kim) Cooney, Michael (Sarita) Hutchens Jr., and Rebecca (David) Quell Sr.; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brendan, Emma, Nathan, Julia, Brandon, McKeila, Kyle, Zackary and David Jr.; siblings, Paul (Ann) Landor and Albina Della Rocco; brother-in-law, David Benamati, all of Cohoes; son-in-law, Neil Cooney Sr., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Cooney; siblings, Joseph Landor, Mary Frydel, Catherine Reepmeyer, Anna Galarneau, Michael Landor and Theresa Benamati. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, on Monday 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Monday at 9:30. Interment with military honors will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
