Hockford, Grace MALTA Grace M. Hockford, 94, of East Greenbush died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at The Home Of The Good Shepherd. Grace was born in Rensselaer and worked in the payroll depts. at Cluett, Peabody and Company in Troy for over 20 years before retiring. After retirement Grace earned her associate degree in early childhood education at age 57 from Hudson Valley Community College. Grace and her husband of 65 years enjoyed their time with their family at their summer residence in Babcock Lake. They were very active in the lake's activities and the establishment of The Babcock lakes Estates. Grace is survived by her daughters, Judy (and the late Paul) Bachorz, Joan Warshaw; her son, Richard (Darlene) Hockford. Grace is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 11 a.m. on Wednesday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 10-11 prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to The Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or .
