Martone, Anthony "Tony " P. BRUNSWICK Anthony "Tony " P. Martone, 72, of Brunswick passed into eter nal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born in Troy and was the son of the late Charles and Carmella (Meola) Martone. Tony attended Catholic Central High School in Troy and served his country in The US Navy. He was employed with the former Behr-Manning company in Watervliet and retired after 25 years of service from General Electric Silicone plant in Waterford. He enjoyed going to Saratoga Raceway and the Turning Stone Casino. Tony is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Martone of Selkirk and Lisa Martone of Acushnet, Mass. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Cassie and Zoe Gelinas and Wyatt Estudante; his brother, Michael (Janet) Martone of Troy and was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Martone. Tony also leaves behind his devoted partner Shirley Cole of Brunswick; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Martone. Tony is also survived by his pet dog, Shelby. The funeral service for Tony will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at The Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville. The family requests that to remember Tony in a special way, donations in his memory may be made to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer.
