Van Wormer, Charles E. Sr. SUGAR LAND, Texas Charles E. Van Wormer Sr., age 64, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009, following a sudden illness. Born in Niskayuna, N.Y., he was a longtime resident of Sugar Land and a businessman in Houston, Texas for many years. He shared his commitment to marriage for 45 years with his loving wife, Rosemary, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Lisa Beth and her son Christopher, and Charles E. Van Wormer Jr., wife Wendy, and their son Zachary; his mother, Grace E. Brown; three sisters, Margaret, Grace and Barbara; one brother, Donald; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick L. Van Wormer; and his brother, Fred. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3662 Gifford Church Road, Duanesburg, N.Y., with Pastor John Fisher presiding. In keeping with Charlie's wish that more research be conducted into the causes and treatments for autism, with which his grandson Zachary is afflicted, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Charles E.
