Wilson, Christine WYNANTSKILL A tribute to our Mom, Christine G. Terry Wilson who died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Our Mother lived a wonderful life for 90 years and we hope you will join us to bid her farewell now that she has joined other family and friends... Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Gailey Terry and wife of the late Thomas Wilson. Primarily a homemaker, she did work and retire from the Rensselaer County Clerk's office in 1984. For many years after, she enjoyed time spent with her dear friend Bill Rapp. She was a very strong woman who deserves much credit for the active life she led, even after having a stroke in 1994. From bocce ball to casino trips, she loved her time with the East Side Seniors and Troy Senior Center and also being a member of the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary. Her association with St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Troy ranged from the altar guild and women's club to attending almost every Wednesday noontime service. She didn't stop there. After entering Evergreen Commons, Mom spent the last six years never missing one of their recreational activities. She often said her greatest happiness was enjoying time with her family and we so enjoyed our time with her... Survivors include son, John "Terry" Wilson and wife Kathy of Queensbury; two daughters, Tina Braun and husband Wyn of Halfmoon and Pamela Wilson Allan and husband Mel of Wynantskill; four grandchildren, Brian Braun, Amy Broz, John Wilson and Gina Couture; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Joel, Max and Jacob; several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Marge Hope; and the family "puppy," TeeJay. She was predeceased by grandson, Timothy Braun. Mom has always referred to those that were kind and helpful as angels. We want to thank all the angels that touched our mother in some way...members of the Star bus system, Evergreen Commons, the 5th floor of Samaritan Hospital and the Community Hospice. We apologize for anyone we are forgetting, but rest assured, Mom will always remember. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, State and Third Streets, Troy with Rev. Michael Gorchov, rector officiating. Relatives, friends and angels may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy on Monday, March 15, 2010, 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Christine Wilson to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Third and State Streets, Troy, NY 12180.
