Carr, Shirley A. EAST GREENBUSH Shirley A. Carr, age 84, of East Greenbush, died peacefully Sunday, August 29, 2010 at home with her family around her. Shirley was born in Watervliet, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Nellie Parslow. She was a Sales associate for Lerner Shop for many years and was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Shirley is the recent widow of Frank Carr; mother of two daughters, Patricia Ann Wanback, Linda Marie (Fred Cossart) Ellis; one son, John F. (Joanne Judd) Carr; and son-in-law, Paul Wanback; sister of the late Emily (John) McGill, Dorothy Beales, Carolyn Herrschaft; and brother-in-law, Donald Herrschaft; grandmother of Kathryn (Greg) Pinchook, Barbara Engle, Paul Wanback, Deborah (Tom Tethers) Salisbury, Michelle (Tom) Bridges, Thomas Carr, Pamela (Daniel) Harwood, Janet (Thomas) Leonard; great- grandmother of Stephen, Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Evan, William, Brandon, Thomas, Malorie, Michael, Jonathan, Thomas, Grace, Paige, Alexis, Taylor, Gianna, Daniel; two loving sisters-in-law, Theresa (Tom) Lyons and Doris Gronau. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 11:00 a.m. on Thursday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, N.Y. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral Home. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer. Donations to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer 12144.
