Rhodes, Helen C. EAST GREENBUSH Helen C. Rhodes, 1920-2010, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2010 at her home of over 60 years. Born on August 12, 1920 in East Greenbush, N.Y., Helen was a published poet and writer. She authored complete books of poetry and participated in numerous poetry anthologies for many years. She loved to discuss poetry, philosophy and theology. Helen was also a well-known designer of wedding gowns and evening apparel. She designed on a custom basis and for Yezzi's, a specialty apparel shop in Albany, N.Y. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Thomas, her brother, Glen Cook and sister, Marion Hay. She is survived by her son, Thomas G. Rhodes and his wife, Donna; her sister, Lillian Cady; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Bethesda Episcopal Church, 41 Washington St., Saratoga Springs, N.Y. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m., at Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Interment, Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.
