Cuozzo, Michael Paul TROY Michael Paul Cuozzo, 87, of Troy passed into eternal rest on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born in Pittsfield, Mass. and was the son of the late Michael and Josephine Cristiano Cuozzo and loving husband of Anna Cioffi Cuozzo married for 63 years. Mike graduated from LaSalle Institute, Troy and attended Siena College in Loudonville. Mike and his brother Eugene were the owners of Cuozzo's Grocery Store in Troy and a member of the former St. Mary's Church. Mike was drafted into the United States Army in 1943 serving as a Private First class in the surgical medical unit. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He enjoyed playing billiards and playing cards at the Troy Senior Citizens Center. Mike especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and associates at the "Club". In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Louisa (Anthony) Merola of Troy and Michelle (Walter) Borisenok of Watervliet and was pre-deceased by his daughter, Joanne Tedesco. He was the brother of Eugene (Helen) Cuozzo. Mike is also survived by his grandchildren, Christi (Andrew) Van Royen of Delmar, Annalisa Merola of Troy, Michael and Nicole Borisenok of Watervliet and great - grandfather of Joanna and Angelina Van Royen. The funeral service for Mike will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from the Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
