Wichser, Marilyn G. GALES FERRY, CONN. Marilyn Griffith Wichser, 81, of 30 Eagle Ridge Drive, Gales Ferry, Conn. formerly of Clifton Park, N.Y., entered into eternal life on Friday, October 7, 2011 in the loving comfort and care of her family at her daughter Julia's home. Born in Kansas City, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Paul and Isabelle Scott Griffith and the beloved wife of the late John Griffith Wichser. Mrs. Wichser was educated at Butler University. A homemaker, she was a devoted and dedicated wife and mom. She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church and enjoyed reading, politics, music and spending time with her family. Devoted mother of John (Marie) Griffith Wichser Jr. of Frederick, Md., Margaret Fay Wichser of Glastonbury, Conn., Julia (Steven) Browne of Gales Ferry, Conn., Jennifer (Raymond) Oliver of Coventry, Conn. and a sister, the late Margaret Latham; cherished grandmother to Brian Marcinkiewicz, Greg, Patricia and Paul Wichser, Elisabeth Wichser-Krajcik, Kaileigh and Breanna Browne, and Ashley, Stephanie and Emily Oliver and adored great-grandmother to Landon Wichser. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park, NY 12065. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home,1550 RT-9 in Clifton Park, NY on Monday from 6 :00 p.m. to 8: 00 p.m. Interment will be held in Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ledyard High School Music Program, 24 Gallup Hill Rd. Ledyard, CT, 06339, in memory of Marilyn G. Wichser.
