LaBarre, Roslyn "Lyn" HOWES CAVE Roslyn "Lyn" LaBarre, 57, of Howes Cave, died suddenly Thursday, December 1, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Cortland, NY, she was the daughter of Orville Lawrence and the late Irene Titus Lawrence. Lyn was raised and educated in Windsor and Cobleskill, NY, and graduated from Cobleskill Central School. She attended Houghton College for two years and transferred to the University of Rochester where she earned her BS in Nursing, then she continued at SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome for her Masters of Science in Nursing. Lyn's nearly 30 year career in nursing has been at Albany Medical Center where she was currently serving as Patient Care Service Director Critical Care, Emergency and Neuro Sciences. She also was very supportive in the Center for Donation and Transplant in Albany. She and her husband attend the Loudonville Community Church. She was also active in Community Choirs in Schoharie and Cobleskill, and was a big basketball fan of the University of Kentucky's "Wildcats". Yet, her main love and interest was her family. She is survived by her husband, Frank LaBarre; their three children, Benjamin LaBarre of Phoenix, Ariz., Michelle LaBarre and her husband, David Perkins of Beaumont, Pa., and Janette LaBarre of N. Chili, N.Y.; and two brothers, Wesley Lawrence and his wife, Joyce of Howes Cave, and Stephen Lawrence of Daytona Beach, Fla. A memorial service will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Loudonville Community Church, 374 Loudon Road (Route 9 and Crumitie Rd., south of the Latham Traffic Circle), Loudonville, NY 12211, with the Rev. Stanley Key, Pastor, officiating. Friends are invited and may call for up to one hour prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lyn may be made to the Center for Donation and Transplant, 218 Great Oaks Blvd., Albany, NY 12203.
