Losee, Sr. M. Regina PBVM WATERVLIET Sr. Mary Regina Losee, PBVM, 79, a Sister of the Presentation for 56 years, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Ohlsen Losee. She was a graduate of Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, N.J., received her bachelors degree in history from Siena College and later received her masters degree in Social Work and was a certified master Social Worker. Sister entered the Sisters of the Presentation on August 15, 1950, was received on March 8, 1951, made her first profession on April 9, 1953 and her final profession on April 20, 1956. She taught kindergarten at several area schools, including St. Helen's and St. Paul's in Schenectady and St. Ambrose in Latham. She was the director of St. Colman's Day Care for 25 years and most recently was the director of St. Colman's Social Service Department. She is survived by her sister Joan Carroll of Moore, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Colman's Chapel, 11 Haswell Road, Watervliet. The interment will be in the Spring in St. Colman's Cemetery. Religious, family and friends are invited and may also call at St. Colman's Chapel on Wednesday, 5-7 p.m.
