Grock, Sharon RENSSELAER Sharon (Badi) Grock, 64, of Rensselaer died Friday, May 18, 2012 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Sharon was born in Albany, the daughter of the late John and Tina Badi. Sharon earned her bachelor's degree from Russell Sage and became a project manager for Strategic Products and Services and previously worked for Avaya, AT&T, Lucent, and New York Telephone, retiring in 2011 after 47 years of service. Sharon was an avid quilter, volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, enjoyed traveling and wintered in Florida. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Alys G. (Shawn) McAdoo of East Greenbush and Shannon M. (Brian) Cooper of Rexford; she is the sister of Sandi Grock, and Jon Badi. Sharon was the proud Grammy of Kiersten, Madison, Brandon, and Justin. She is also survived by Uncle, Rudy (Dianne) Badi and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends may attend her calling hours Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
