DeFrias, Anthony RENSSELAER Anthony DeFrias, 86, of East Greenbush died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. Anthony was born in the Azores, Portugal the son of the late Manuel and MaryJo DeFrias. Anthony came to America May 9, 1953 gaining citizenship and brought his family over fulfilling his dream of a better life. He was a produce clerk for Albany Public Markets for over 30 years simultaneously working part time at Sears before going to Price chopper where he worked for 18 more years retiring in 2002. Anthony was a member of the Albany Elks Lodge #49 and a communicant of the St Mary's Church, East Greenbush. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona (DeLima) DeFrias; siblings, Mary Bento, and John DeFrias. Anthony is the devoted father of Mary (Neil) Dugan, Elaine (Scott) Valente, Antoinette (Mark) Tempel, Lisa (Jeffrey) Scott, Christine (Scott) Campbell and a son, Michael DeFrias; proud grandfather of Erinne, Jamey, TJ, Jason, Matthew, Dylan, Jordan, Max, Nickolas, and Ben; eight great-grandchildren and his in-laws the DeLima Family. The family would like to thank his best friend and brother-in-law, Joseph DeLima for his care and attention these last years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 9:00 Friday from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk. and 9:30 at the Church of St Mary, 163 Columbia Tpk, Rensselaer, N.Y. where a Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited to his calling hours Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady Of Angels, Albany.
