Masse, Raymond L. Sr. OLD CHATHAM Raymond L. Masse Sr., 69, of Old Chatham, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Born in Benson, Vt., he was the son of the late Leopold U. Masse and Simone Charle-bois-Masse and beloved husband to Patricia Sullivan-Masse. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp. and served our country in the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Capital Area Refrigeration, as well as owned and operated their family farm with his brother Maurice in Old Chatham and North Greenbush. Prior to that he was a driver for Pepsi Co. for over 20 years. Raymond enjoyed country western and bluegrass music, hunting, fishing and talking politics. He was a proud member of the Tri Village Fire Co. where he was a former fire chief, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family. In addition to his mother Simone and wife Patricia; Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond (Monique) Masse Jr., Stephen (Holly) Masse, Todd Masse, Robin Masse, Heather and Michael Hayden and Rachel Masse. He was the brother of Maurice (Annette) Masse, Lucille (David) Travis, Lorraine (Joseph) Drzymala, Roger (Janice) Masse, Robert (Marlene) Masse and the late Theresa Masse; his grandchildren, April, Ryan, Noah, Aaron, Aksinya Sydney, Jackson, Hannah and Olivia; his great-grandchildren, McKensie, Jordan and Joshua; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd Street Troy, with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating. Interment will follow in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 9 from 4-7 p.m.
