Amodeo, Jay F. CASTLETON Jay F. Amodeo, 68, of Castleton died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. Jay was born in Albany the son of the late Frank and Katherine (Kittle) Amodeo. He was a fine wine and spirits salesman for Service Liquor Distrib-utor, in Schen-ectady, worked as the special assistant to the Counsel for Governor Mario Cuomo. Jay also retired as an administrator for the East Greenbush Town Court after 12 years. He served as past exalted ruler for Rensselaer Elks Lodge #2073 and district deputy and past State President of the NY State Elks Association, and currently sits on the Advisory Board of the NYSEA. Predeceased by James Amodeo and J. Michael Amodeo. Jay is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth A. (Popp) Amodeo and a daughter, Lori A. Amodeo of Woodbridge, Va.; and a brother, Jon Amodeo and his boys, Dante, Thumper and Foxy. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday morning 9:30 from the Holy Spirit Church, 667 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, N.Y. where the liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited to his calling hours in the church Sunday evening from 4-7 p.m. Officers and members of the Rensselaer Elks #2073 are invited to conduct services 6:30 Sunday evening at Holy Spirit Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, East Schodack. The family has requested that those that wish make donations in Jays name to the NYS Elks Association major projects.
