Gandron, Nancy M. MECHANICVILLE Mrs. Nancy M. Gandron, 78, of River Road, Hemstreet Park, died Thursday evening, November 8, 2012 at Albany Medical Center from complications resulting from a fall the previous day. A native and lifelong resident of Mechanic-ville, born January 13, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Pitcheralle, she was a Mechanicville High School graduate, class of 1951. A fulltime mother and homemaker, years ago she worked at General Electric in Schenectady and for the State of New York, and after raising her children, did office work for Douglas Dyer and Sons Construction for some years. She was a longtime election poll worker, for both the local school district and the town and county elections. A faithful member of Assumption-St. Paul Catholic Church, and a member of the Rosary Altar Society, former church school teacher and bingo volunteer, Nancy loved arts and crafts, butterflies, angels, elves and the color orange. A happy person, she always had a smile, and enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Edwin L. Gandron; her children, Paula (Larry) Olsen of Cary, N.C., Larry (Dollie) Gandron of Mechanicville, David (Yvonne) Gandron of Concord, N.C., Leon (Debbie) Gandron of Stillwater, Cindy (Donald) Horn of Mechanicville and Mary Anne (Michael) Griffen of Ballston Spa.; 15 grandkids, Michael (Jenni) and Tommy (Sabrina) Olsen, Stephen Gandron and Valerie, Jessica (Adam) Santiago, Donny Horn and Julie, Joseph, Katie, Jamie, Ashley, and Emily Gandron, Charlie Horn, Matthew and T.J. Gandron, Bret Griffen and Brendon Gandron; seven great-grandkids, Anna, Ella, Ben, Daniel, Samantha, Aiden and Riley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by her son, Phillip, in 2006 and brothers, John and Ralph Pitcheralle Sr. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, (St. Paul's) 121 N. Main St. Mechanicville. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicville on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are encouraged to either Rubin Dialysis Center, Clifton Park or of Northeast New York, in loving memory of Nancy M.
