Stewart, Christopher F. HALFMOON Christopher F. Stewart, age 17, of Halfmoon, passed away on December 1, 2012. He was born on January 9, 1995 in Little Rock, Ark. Chris was a senior at Shenendehowa High School and was a captain of the football team, where he was a three-year varsity starter. He was named an Empire Division All Star for the past two seasons. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Regina Stewart; brother, Jeremy; grandparents, Ann Yakel and John and Elizabeth Stewart, and his girlfriend, Bailey Wind, whom he adored dearly. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his entire Shen family. Chris was known by several childhood nicknames, "Spurt," as he couldn't say "Stewart" as a child, "Stewz" by his Shen classmates, "Squirt," an ironic allusion to his size, and the "gentle giant" by many. Chris was also known as "Lumpy" because he would lift and move large objects for the family. He would "pick things up and put them down." Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9 at Ushers Road, Round Lake, with a memorial Mass on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Colman's Autistic Program, 11 Haswell Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, in honor of his cousin, Andy.
