Gildersleeve, Donald B. LATHAM Donald B. Gildersleeve, 69, of Latham, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Guerin Gildersleeve. Born in Detroit, Donald was the son of the late Morton and Doris Finkbiner Gildersleeve. As a young man Donald moved to New Hartford and then to the Capital District, residing there since 1969. He was a 1965 graduate of SUNY Albany where he received his bachelor's degree; the same year he married his beloved Theresa. Donald worked as planning director with the New York State attorney general's office in Albany, retiring in 1996. Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife Theresa, include his children, Judith Gildersleeve of Albany and Steven Gildersleeve of Atlanta; his cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Victoria Gildersleeve of Latham; his siblings, Gary (Patsy) Gildersleeve of New Hartford and Debby (Terry) Wilson of Ohio; his two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Burial will be in the family lot in the spring.
