Paratore, Beverly WEST ALBANY Beverly A. "Bev" Paratore, age 74, of West Albany, died peacefully in her sleep on February 4, 2013. Born November 21, 1938 in Albany, she worked for New York State Department of Transportation for 24 years and retired in March 2003. Bev was an auxiliary member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society and the Zaloga VFW Post, where she enjoyed playing darts. Bev also liked to play cards on Wednesdays with her friends at the Colonie Senior Center. Beverly enjoyed many things in life including dancing, flower gardening, summer vacations at Lake Champlain, Caribbean cruises and cooking wonderful meals for her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Beverly is predeceased by her beloved sister, Shirley Baldwin (Joseph). Her survivors include her five children, Thomas Carmelo, John, Dominic (Mary), Susan Domenica O'Leary and Catherine Fiacco (John); her cherished grandchildren, Jacquelyn Mary, Christina Domenica, Thomas John, Alissa Marie, Timothy Michael, Jenna Lynn and Anthony John; her best friend of 35 years, Sylvia McGahay, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, February 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany.
