Parry, John H. Jr. JUPITER, Fla. John H. Parry Jr., in the embrace of his loving family, passed in to the hands of God on March 10, 2013 in Jupiter. Formerly of Troy, born March 16, 1937 in Binghamton. He graduated from Binghamton North High School in 1955. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (class of 1960) in Troy, was a member of Theta Xi fraternity and was captain of the football team. He was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant and served at the U.S. Army Transportation Research Command in Virginia. He received a master's degree in personnel management from George Washington University in 1961. Returning to Troy, he became the owner of Brown Printers of Troy. He was a former member of the Troy Club, the Rotary Club and the Country Club of Troy. He was active in fund raising for RPI, a member of the Patroon Society, and a longtime donor to the athletic department. He served as vice president of the Troy Youth Hockey Association and was a fundraiser for that program. Jack was a lifetime fan of hockey, football and tennis. He retired to Florida in the 90s while still maintaining a summer home at Thousand Island Park, in the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Patricia McClare; a son, John H. Parry III; daughter-in-law, Dawn Aiello Parry, and grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, Trevor and Cooper Parry, all of Clifton Park. He was cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the Thousand Island Park Tabernacle.
