McNaughton, Malcolm R. COEYMANS Malcolm R. McNaughton, 90, crossed over the morning of April 16, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Delhi, N.Y. to Leslie and Caroline, he graduated from the Delaware Academy, Ithaca College and Albany State College. He taught at the R-C-S schools for 35 years, where he served as the high school band director and chairman of the music department. Active as V.F.W. band leader for many years, he served in World War II in the 3rd Cavalry Reconnaissance under Patton across France, Germany and Austria. Mac was an avid golfer who spent many summers at Sycamore Country Club. "Mac" is survived by Antoinette, his loving wife of 65 years; children, Michael, Stephen (Constance), David (Sandra), Christine Mara (Joseph) and Jeffrey (Susan); nine grandchildren, Kaylin (Rob), Ryan, Marissa, Evan, Emily, Timothy, Ian, JaneAnn and Philip. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mac was predeceased by brothers, Albert, Charles, Palmer; and sisters, Tarisa Hymers and Muriel Jester. A viewing will be held on April 19 from 4 to 7 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. A Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena on April 20 at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Malcolm may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143 or Capital Region Against Breast Cancer, 125 Wolfe Road, Albany, NY 12205.
