Dodge, Frederick P. ALBANY Frederick P. Dodge, age 74, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2013 at his home. Born January 19, 1939 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Fred Berger and Irene (Shculz) Dodge. Fred served in the US Submarine Service and subsequently graduated from Siena College in 1964. He worked for the NYS Department of Audit and Control for 35 years, retiring in 2001 after the death of Sarah (McGraw) Dodge, his wife of 37 years. Fred held an amateur radio operator's license and was an ardent fisherman. He enjoyed fly tying and lure making. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Anne Dodge of Stow, Mass.; son, Christopher Scott Dodge; daughter-in-law, Barbara Porter and granddaughter, Sydney Dodge of Trabuco Canyon, Calif. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services Monday, July 15, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, now located at 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Sacred Heart Church, North Albany at 9:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday, July 14, 2013 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions in Frederick's memory can be made out to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York, One Mustang Drive, Cohoes, NY 12047 Frederick's wife Sarah was passionate about Make Wish where she was a dedicated volunteer during her retirement years.
