Frezon, Edward G. RENSSELAER Edward G. Frezon, age 81 years, of Rensselaer, passed away surrounded by his family at his residence on Friday, July 12, 2013. He was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident of Rensselaer and Brant Lake. Ed was a graduate of Van Rensselaer High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Mr. Frezon retired in 1987, after a lengthy career, from the Benet Weapons Laboratory at the Watervliet Arsenal. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ed was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a communicant of Historic St. Mary's in Albany. Husband of Elizabeth "Betty" Mulligan Frezon of Rensselaer; father of Mary Beth Frezon of Brainard, and Michael (Margaret) Frezon of Rensselaer; grandfather of Kate (Aaron) Fenner of Clifton Park and Andrew Frezon of East Greenbush. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Historic St. Mary's Church, Lodge Street, Albany where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
