Clifford, Ronnie EARLTON Ronnie P. Clifford, 53, of Earlton passed away suddenly while at work on January 2, 2014 in Cairo. He was born in Albany on September 14, 1960, son of Alice (Merlin) Bryant and the late Roland "Ron" Clifford. A 1978 graduate of G.C.S., he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978 to 1982. Ronnie was employed by Greene County in charge of the Greene County Mental Health Building grounds and maintenance in Cairo. He was very active in the Earlton Fire Department, holding several different offices. Ronnie was also employed at Red's Restaurant for several years and was known to be an avid New York Yankees fan and a follower of NASCAR. Ronnie will be missed by his family and many friends and be remembered as a friend to all those he met. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a cousin, Deborah. Surviving is his mother, Alice Bryant; stepfather, Alexander "Zanny" Bryant; companion, Barbara Trembez; brothers, Robert Clifford (Lynne), Richard Clifford and Rory Clifford (Tammy); aunt, Joan Parks; uncle, Richard Merlin; "Aunt" Barbara Smith; niece, Riderlin Clifford; cousins, Donna, Eric, Penne and several other cousins.
