Morocco, Theresa GREEN ISLAND Theresa Morocco, 65, of Arch Street, died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital, after an extended illness. Born in Troy on September 4, 1948, daughter of the late Frank and Helen Thompson Morocco, Theresa was a 1966 graduate of Mechanicville High School, and attended HVCC. A clerk for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany for a number of years, she also had worked for General Electric's silicone products division in Waterford. Playing bingo and visits to casinos were things she enjoyed, but foremost was spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Davelyn Morocco of Cohoes and Tamara (Bill) Parrotte of East Greenbush; grandchildren, Carissa, Brandon and Joshua Kramer, Isabella and Evan Parrotte; her brother, John (Kathy) Morocco of Mechanicville, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was also predeceased by her siblings, Bill Elting, Frank and James Morocco, Clara Masterson, Marie Kinisky and Mary Lou Farmer, along with her 20-year companion, Edward Ronan. A gathering of family and friends for a memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Watervliet VFW, 783 Broadway, Watervliet. Remembrances may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in loving memory of Theresa Morocco. Arrangements by the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, Mechanicville.
