I work with Shawn's Uncle Michael and he spoke about special times as a family shared at a recent BBQ where Shawn was able to spend time with his cousins. I am very sorry for the loss of someone with such a bright smile. May you find comfort and peace in your special memories.

Shawn and his smile are forever etched in my mind. I recall a picture of him skateboarding and that was such an inspiration to me. Shawn and his loving family have a special place in my heart. Mr and Mrs Bredice, I am so sorry for your loss. My son Jon skated with Shawn at the Shelter and on the street. I can't imagine the pain you are feeling and I am so sorry for your loss. This picture is the same way I saw Shawn every single day I saw him. He had a smile you could see a mile away. Skate with the angels lil man!
When I go rolling on my skateboard,
I feel the wind blow on my face.
My body glides along in freedom,
And then my foot keeps up the pace.
I must lean just right to make the curve,
Then get my balance back on track.
I look for the chance to do a trick,
I start the move....no turning back.
I catch the air and do a kick-flip,
The board goes round and meets my feet.
I get anxious as I start a trick,
But glad its ended safe and neat.
My board becomes part of my body,
I cannot be whole without it.
What if it breaks and leaves me stranded?
How can I get there? ........I'll just sit! !

I will always think of Shawn and Matthew riding their bikes all day and night until finally we had to go out looking for them. Those days of the boys skateboarding and playing together are some of Matt's favorite childhood memories...May you skateboard carefree now....

I remember the boys and their Shelter Days, skateing in my backyard, building a ramp in the yard, these kids and their skateboards, I loved those days, Shawn was always right there with my boys.
