Allan Stern Obituary

Stern, Allan R. BOLTON LANDING Allan R. Stern, 59, of Bolton Landing and Rexford passed away early Sunday morning, July 24, 2016, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born on August 14, 1956, he was the son of Joseph and Lucie Stern. Known to friends and family as Al, friends at Canton College introduced him to Bolton Landing, where he met his wife Sally. Al deeply loved his family, friends, the outdoors, music and art. He was an avid skier, sailor, guitar player, biker and creator of all things beautiful. Al was involved in the community and an active member of the Bolton Chamber of Commerce, American Institute of Architecture, a guest lecturer at RPI and a former member of the Clifton Park Rotary Club, West Mountain Ski School and Ski Patrol and Construction Management Association of America. He is survived and will be forever remembered by Sally Stern, his loving wife of 29 years; son, Bryan; daughter, Gretchen; sister, Vivienne; nieces, Sarah and Alison; and nephew, Robert. Memorial services and a celebration of life will be held at Bolton Landing Conservation Club (56 Edgecomb Pond Rd, Bolton Landing) on Thursday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bolton Landing Rescue Squad, P.O.
