Hufty, Emma Merchant  
HUFTY Emma Merchant Hufty passed away on February 23, 2015. Emma was born on October 31, 1921 in Williston, Vermont and was one of nine children of Frank and Carrie Merchant. In 1939 she moved to Florida and was a founding member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Orlando, FL and a loyal member of Grace Anglican Church after moving to Orange Park. She was lovingly devoted to her grandchildren and predeceased husband Richard, of 41 years. Survivors include son Lawrence Hufty, Montverde, FL, daughter Sally Boes, Orange Park, FL, six grandchildren, Brian Hufty, Cara Wood, and Kyle, Kris, Konner and Klaire Sawicki, and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28 at Grace Anglican Church, 5804 US Highway 17, Fleming Island, FL 32003. Hyman, Flora B.  
HYMAN Flora B. Hyman, passed away at her home, Friday, February 13th, surrounded by family and friends. Flora was born in Florence, S. C., January 28, 1934, to Liston and Lula Viola Hyman. Although born in South Carolina, she lived all of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Wesleyan College. Flo began her career in Jacksonville at Western Electric. She continued her career as Sales and Marketing Manager for the Robert Meyer Hotel. She was President and co-owner of Southeastern Decorators, Inc., for more than 35 years until she retired. Flo was active in the Republican Party and many civic organizations. She was predeceased by 6 sisters and 1 brother, as well as her parents. She is survived by a niece, Patricia Pond and three nephews, Everett Melvin, Michael (Mary) Horne and Colin Horne, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at the Riverside Baptist Church, Park and King Street, on February 28th at 11:00 am. HENDON Gary Wayne Hendon passed away at home in Jacksonville, FL, on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born on May 8, 1963 in Miami, FL, to James and Esther Hendon. Gary was previously employed as a Correction Sergeant with the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sara Hendon. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Vyonne Hendon; sons, Trace William Hendon and Theron James Hendon; brothers, Marvin Hendon and Eric Hendon; nephew, James Hendon; honorary brother, Rudolph A. McClain; and friend, Anthony Nelson. Gary will be missed by many.
