Charles A. Fennell(1920 - 2014)

FENNELL Charles A. Fennell, 93, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014. He was born on December 15, 1920 in Yukon, Florida, to the late Edward and Mary Fennell. Charles attended public schools in Yukon and proudly served his country in the United States Army. After serving in World War II, Charles returned to Yukon to continue his career tenure at the Naval Air Station, in Civilian Service, as a Leadership Inspector. Charles was an active member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Middleburg, Florida, and faithfully served until his health failed. He was preceded in death by his parents, a loving wife, Opal Fennell, and nine siblings. Charles leaves to cherish his memories a devoted step-daughter, Mrs. Bessie (Robert) Bryant; nieces, Wilma (Melvin) Thompkins, Helen (Samuel) Lee and Evelyn Daniels; and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Mound Street, Orange Park, Florida 32073, with Rev. Dr. C.
